Sports & Remedial
The aim here is to get to the source of an ailment not just the accompanying symptoms. The techniques used (including trigger point and myofascial release) help reduce muscular tension and bring the muscles back into balance with a reduction in pain and an improvement in range of movement.
It reduces the likelihood of injury and if it does occur, the healing process is quickened. It involves the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body such as muscles, fascia, ligaments and tendons which can become damaged, impaired, knotted, tense or immobile.
This deep tissue massage not only suits sports people but anyone who suffers with chronic conditions such as back pain, sciatica, arthritis, headaches/migraines, repetitive strain injuries such as tennis and golfers elbow, frozen shoulder etc.

This treatment aids relaxation through loosening and improving muscle tone. An increase in circulation will also enhance both oxygen and nutrient delivery to muscle cells whilst boosting waste removal which results in a reduction of the physical effect of stress i.e. lower heart rate, breathing rate and blood pressure.
Therapeutic massage can be used as a standalone treatment on a regular basis to promote that feel good feeling, as well as treating a wide range of conditions and ailments.
ACCUPRESSURE
This is a traditional Chinese technique which involves physical pressure being applied to acupoints (common to both acupressure and acupuncture) using the fingertips, hand and elbow. It is a rejuvenating massage for the back, neck, shoulders, arms, hands and scalp. When the acupoints are pressed they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood, stimulating the bodies natural self-curative abilities.
Acupressure stengthens resistance to disease and promotes wellness by concentrating on areas most affected by prolonged repetitive work. It continues to be the most effective method for tension-related ailments by using the power and sensitivity of the human hand.

SLAVIC
This massage was originally used in Mongolia on their warriors. Back then it was performed with honey, milk and floral water which were combined with herbal infusions.
The massage was further developed in Eastern Europe were it became part of family culture and in the 20th century travelled west as part of ballet dancers pre and post exercise regimes.
Slavic is the heart and soul of aromatherapy and takes it right back to its origins. It is a peaceful, harmonising massage that helps you drift into a dreamlike state using circular, flowing movements which are deeply relaxing. The warm blend of oil used is ideal for relieving muscle tension and stress aiming to stimulate and relax, pull and support. It’s by this working in duality over every part of the body that rebalances the body’s own natural rhythms.
Hot Stones
This is a unique full body massage performed with naturally self warming basalt lava stones. The warm smooth stones are expertly glided over the body with varying pressures, techniques and precision to alleviate the deepest aches, pains, stress and tension.
Hot stones warmed by fire were used by Native Americans and has evolved through many different cultures throughout time. The sumptuous blend of oils used uniquely enhances the stones ability to radiate heat into the body’s tissues which will help promote healing to revitalise and rebalance the body and mind. This relaxation is achieved by opening up the bodies meridians (energy pathways).
The heated stones expand the blood vessels which helps your body eliminate unwanted waste materials, whilst giving you a soothing sedative effect. You may notice improvement with: muscular aches and pains, poor circulation, rheumatic and arthritic conditions, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, back pain, stress, anxiety and tension, insomnia, depression.
The overall level of relaxation throughout the body and mind is profound.
EMMETT Technique
This is based on the belief that light touch can trigger a relaxation response in the soft tissues of the body, helping to help relieve tension which results in feelings of improved comfort.
It can be effectively explained using the analogy of a digital touch-screen. With the touch-screen, if you touch too hard, nothing happens. If you touch on the wrong spot nothing happens. If you hold for too long, all the icons start to shake. But if you touch with just the right amount of pressure in a specific location, an application opens and you are good to go. We believe the EMMETT points are small sensory receptors that allow access to the brain via the therapists’ touch. With the correct light touch, the brain receives and evaluates this stimulus and initiates the relaxation response in the soft tissue. There are receptor points all over the body so the therapist can target the area of concern. It may sound surprising but the relaxation response and the feeling of ease can sometimes be profound.
ON-SITE
This is a rejuvenating massage for the upper body lasting 15-20 mins per session. It relaxes and calms yet energises and raises alertness.
On-site massage is becoming an extremely important tool for companies in the fight against workplace stress. It is actively used as an integral part of staff wellness programmes and lends well to a large variety of companies as it is convenient due to the fact we come to you.
This massage has proven to be very effective in reducing stress, fatigue and muscle tension and as a result the recipient will be more focused, productive, happier and healthier. In turn this produces a good company image, meaning you will see a real return on your investment beginning with reduced absenteeism and not to mention an increase in employer/employee relations.
